Seven Shares

Ok here goes, I've been tagged to tell seven things about myself, so I will not sure who will read this as I have no followers.

1. We lived in Texas for about two years. We were there in 1963 when President Kennedy was killed in Dallas. Without writing a novel, I'll say that living in Texas opened my young sixth grade mind what to what true prejudice was and what it could do.

2. I have two children a boy and a girl, I thought if you raised the two genders the same they would mature and generally act the same; that the fuss about the gender gap was a false societal role. WOW, WAS I WRONG!

3. My crazy, lovable husband and I have been married for 39 years, he is my life and my love. I truly don't know what I would do without him. I use to think scornfully of women who said this and think, "oh, how dependent can you get". Oh well such is life ;o)

4. I worked for almost 15 year as a paraprofessional social worker, working with families at risk of abusing their children. During that time I did a lot of training of other professionals as this was a fairly new field "child abuse prevention". This leads me to number 5.

5. At the age of 46 I completed a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice and Graduated Magna Cum Laude by going to night school and working 40 hours a week plus. I did this for myself, I could have continued as I was because of my reputation in both fields in the community but I need the degree to feel competent. My wonderful husband did almost everything during this time as he had already completed his degree and he wanted to support me in my efforts. I am forever grateful. The kids really chipped in, too. The degree should have all their names on it!!!

7. I will copy this last one from my niece and sister, I do love to read and will read anything, almost. When my husband was reading Louis Lamor I read them when he was finished. I tend to read whatever someone else in the house has read that way we don't have to buy me a book. I could go to the library but I am AWFUL about returning books.

This is probably way more than it was suppose to be, I do tend to talk to much!!

Why am I so computer Challenged

Okay, this is my first post and it will be short and sweet because I am frustrated. I started this because it seems the thing to do but laying this silly thing out is driving me nuts. I can't seem to find my title or "header" as that appears the be the proper thing to call it. It shows up on the lay out page but not on the finished page and the three choices given to me when I add my picture are 1. title and description on top of the picture (you can't read the description when I do this. 2. picture only 3. description under the picture(which I choose thinking the title would then be shown someplace else but it's not) I've worked and worked with it but can't seem to find my title except in option one, WHY????
